Individual Consulting

The most personalized access to Mike Kennedy's wealth of experience…

The most personalized access to Mike Kennedy's wealth of experience is through individual consulting. This involves meeting with your family during which we discuss your student’s academic profile and career goals; your geographic preferences and financial considerations; as well as the less tangible but no less important aspects of the campus environment that will make your college experience the best it can be.

All meetings will be conducted online via teleconference calls providing families with flexible scheduling options, as well as convenient access to Kennedy Consulting.  This highly personal one-on-one interaction assures you and your student the access to our professional consultation exactly when you need it as questions and issues arise during the admissions process.

After the initial consultation, we stay in contact throughout the process. We will keep you abreast of the latest admissions issues through email newsletters, and you can call us at anytime to answer questions, review your essay, prepare for interviews our campus visits, and discuss developments that may impact your plans.

When to begin?

In general, it is best to start this conversation early to ensure that the courses you are selecting in the activity activities you are undertaking will be those that will position you for success at application time. Many families contact us in eighth grade to discuss their choice of the high school or to identify the appropriate course load for freshman year. High school consultations generally focus on class selection, extra curricular involvement, developing a rich academic and personal profile, selecting an appropriate college, developing application strategies, and preparing for interviews and campus visits.

Cost

Families are often surprised at how cost-effective this option is – generally less than 1% of the cost of a private college education.

Students should not graduate thinking, ‘I've got to go to that college.’ They should be thinking, ‘I can't wait to go to that college.
